What to know after your surgery

WHO:
Women who have had either elective or reconstructive breast augmentation may develop a condition called Capsular Contracture. This rare condition is one in which the breast implant hardens and begins to form a shell around itself.  Those who notice either breast hardening, pain, shape changes, or difference in the position of their breasts after surgery should contact their surgeon immediately. You may have capsular contracture starting to form and early recognition is imperative.

WHAT: Treatment for Capsular Contracture now has a non-surgical option. As licensed clinical therapists in conjunction with leading plastic surgeons research, we have combined our expertise to offer an effective non surgical treatment option for capsular contracture or breast implant hardening.

WHEN: The success of our program is based on how early the treatment intervention begins. The analogy for capsular contracture is like”soft glue” forming a soft shell around the implant. Treatment initiated early allows for a “mold ability” of the hardening breast implant before it can fully harden.  Once the “glue” hardens, treatment effectiveness is lessened.

HOWTreatment is a 3 part approach. The first part is the application of a very specific External Ultrasound process that introduces painless waves of energy to the surface of the hardening implant. Once softened, the therapist’s mobilization or stretching of the capsule begins via particular massage like motions. The final step is educating the patient on proper stretches and application of compression bandages to properly position and soften the implant.

  • Success Rate: Greater than 95% with early treatment intervention.

  • Risks:  Few. Our treatment has no infection or surgical risks associated with it. Even having a revision surgery for  capsular contracture can result in a repeated capsule forming. Our treatment does not.

  • Discreet:   The painless Ultrasound modality is applied with the patient fully draped and covered. A female therapist or attendant supervises at all times.

  • State of the Art: We use a very specialized pain-free Ultrasound unit that is the latest in medical technology

  • Cost effective: A full course of treatment is only a fraction of the cost of surgical revision. Package Plan discounts available.

  • Professional: We are highly trained licensed clinicians. We evaluate each client individually for their needs.

P.S. We also offer many other after cosmetic surgery services that both reduce healing time and after-surgery pain and swelling. Feel free to contact us at any time for a free consultation.

Thank you and regards.
